PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washstand with which a small-sized washbasin counter for a lower cabinet can be used commonly among a plurality of lower cabinets with different front and back sizes. SOLUTION: The washstand 1 has the washbasin counter 7 in which a back guard 9 is stood in the rear end 8 thereof, and the lower cabinet 5a which can be arranged along the wall face 30 of a building. Further, when arranging the wall face 30 the washbasin counter 7 is arrange on the upper part 6 of the lower cabinet 5a so as to form a gap 12 between the back guard 9 and the wall face 30, and auxiliary mounting portion 14 separate from the washbasin counter 7 is arranged between the upper end 10 of the back guard 9 and the wall face 30. In this constitution, the gap 12 between the washbasin counter 7 and the wall face 30 generated by arranging the small sized washbasin counter 7 of the lower cabinet 5b on the lower cabinet 5 with the different front and back sizes such as the large sized lower cabinet 5a, can be filled and can be used as the mounting face 15.
