PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality notification system and an abnormality notification apparatus which can reduce a state where the notification of connection abnormality cannot be given though a connection state is actually abnormal. SOLUTION: When determining that the connection history of a monitoring ECU 11 is not stored in a storage part 21 in determination processing in step S21 ("No" in the determination processing in step S21), a communication interruption determination part 23 determines "absence" showing that there is no monitoring ECU 11, without executing determination (determination processing in step S22) whether communication with the monitoring ECU 11 has been interrupted or not as processing in step S25. The reason for the determination is that information (transmission source apparatus information) showing that the monitoring ECU 11 is to be connected to a GW-ECU 20 through a communication line 60, is stored in a storage part 21.
