GRINDING TOOL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding tool designed to be connected with glass substance. SOLUTION: The grinding tool contains MCA (micro crystalline substance α: alumina) grinding grains and vitreous bonders. Post-calcination vitreous bonders are arranged to contain a maximum of about 45 mol% of SiO2, a maximum of about 15 mol% of Al2O3, about 24 to 35 mol% of B2O3, and about 15 to 30 mol% of alkaline metallic oxide, in which the alkaline metallic oxide contains at least 5 mol% of lithium oxide based on the bonding agent standards, while the B2O3mol ratio to the alkaline metallic oxide is designed to the range between 0.8:1 to 1.7:1.
