PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material transportation supply apparatus and a material transportation supply method attaining energy saving. SOLUTION: The material transportation supply apparatus 1 includes a collecting supply part 10 collecting and supplying a pneumatically-transported powder and grain material to a supply destination 2; a pneumatic transportation means 20 pneumatically transporting the powder and grain material to the collecting supply part from a transportation source 3; a throughput detecting means for detecting the throughput X of the powder and grain material handled per unit time in the supply destination; a transport capacity detecting means for detecting the transport capacity Y of the powder and grain material transported per unit time from the transportation source to the collecting supply part; and a transport capacity control means for comparing the throughput with the transport capacity based on a predetermined program, and performing change control of the rotating speed of a driving motor of a transportation air source 22 in the pneumatic transportation means, thereby updating the transport capacity to become predetermined transport capacity corresponding to the throughput to carry out pneumatic transportation.
