The compressor (24) has a switchable coupling device for coupling and uncoupling a drive shaft (34) of the compressor to a counter shaft (30). The coupling device is designed as an electrically-switchable gearbox-synchronization device (22) that is electroless during coupling and uncoupling of the drive shaft to the counter shaft. The drive shaft is arranged in the counter shaft in a rotatable manner, and the synchronization device has a belt pulley arranged in the counter shaft in a torque-proof manner and a synchronizing ring (32) that is movable by an operating element i.e. magnetic switch.
