[Also in Group XXX] The trough elements 11 of a scraper conveyer are each clamped by blocks 18 to a chain 17 extending along the entire length of one side of the conveyer, the chain 17 constituting a separating means between the runs 15, 16 of an endless haulage chain coupled by a plate 12 extending beneath the conveyer to a mineralwinning plough 10 positioned for movement along the other side of the conveyer to that on which the chain 17 is secured. The chains are enclosed in a duct 14 and shield and baffle means 19, 20 on the side of the conveyer keep mineral thereon from entering the duct 14. |
