The drawer (1) has drawer frames (2, 3) at which a fastening element (6) for fastening a drawer base (4) is arranged. A nose for drawer center protrudes at side walls of the drawer frames. An upper side of the drawer base is pushed against a lower side that stays perpendicular to each frame side wall. The fastening element is formed as a clamping element with a variable clamping distance, where the clamping element works together with the nose, and the drawer bases of different thickness are fixed with the fastening element. An independent claim is also included for a drawer base clamping tool comprising a die plate.
