WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHOD OF TRICHLOROETHYLENE USING STEEL DUST

PURPOSE: A method for processing wastewater containing trichloro ethylene using steel dust is provided to protect environment using the steel dust which is wastes from an iron foundry plant. CONSTITUTION: Steel dust is supplied as a raw material for supplying iron ions. The iron ions function as the catalyst of a fenton oxidizing reaction. The steel dust and oxygenated water are continuously supplied in order to implement the fenton oxidizing reaction under pH between 3 and 5. The particle size of the steel dust is smaller than or equal to 1mm. The steel dust includes 40-50 weight% of iron, 10-20 weight% of calcium, and other materials.
