<p>PURPOSE: A cancer-specific biomarker, complement C9, is provided to be used as a marker for treating cancer and to easily and accurately measure cancer. CONSTITUTION: A composition for diagnosing cancer contains an agent for measuring the C9 mRNA or protein expression level. The agent for measuring C9 mRNA level is a primer or probe which specifically binds to the complement C9 gene. The agent for measuring protein expression contains an antibody which is specific to the complement C9 protein. A kit for diagnosing cancer contains the composition. The kit is a RT-PCR kit, DNA chip kit, or protein chip kit.</p> |
