969,397. Mechanical switches without quick action. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 10, 1962 [July 13, 1961], No. 26493/62. Heading H2B. When one button 7 or 9 of a change-over switch is depressed it uncovers an indicating mark on a surface 5 over which it slides and raises the other button which covers another indicating mark. Each button has a horizontal slot 35 (Fig. 4) which co-operates with one of the pegs 37 of a pivoted contact carrying member 19. Diametrically opposed blade contacts 21 on member 19 co-operate alternately with pairs of fixed contacts 23 and are permanently connected via blade springs 29 to terminal pins 31. The member 19 is retained in its alternative positions by a spring biased locking member 33. The switch forms part of an electric shaver and is used to change the voltage at which the shaver operates.
|
