APPARATUS FOR RECOVERING SENSIBLE HEAT AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recovering excess heat from molten slag are provided to effectively recover the excess heat through a miniaturized facility using a physical heat exchange and chemical reaction. CONSTITUTION: A heating duct(1) delivers a mixed gas including carbon dioxide through one side of a chamber(4). A swirler(7) is formed on an end of the heating duct and allows the mixed gas to form vortex and react with molten slag(5). The used gas is discharged together with granulated slag to an exit(6) of the chamber. A heater(3) is installed in the front end of the heating duct and preheats the mixed gas.
