SOUND INPUT/OUTPUT SYSTEM BASED ON A DIGITAL MODE IN A ROBOT AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A sound input/output system and method of digital method base of a robot are provided to obtain the voice of high quality by minimizing data loss due to noise. CONSTITUTION: A sound input/output system of digital method base of a robot comprises a microphone(110L,110R), a codec(120), a controller(130), a host processor(140), and a speaker(150L,150R). Microphone inputs sounds including human voice. The codec changes the input sound into digital data and transmits digital data to the device elements. The codec changes a digital data into an analog signal and transmits the analog signal to low-end application element. The controller changes sound data into the data format which is proper for the transmission regulations of the upper device element. The controller transmits sound data as the upper device element and transmits digital data to the codec. The host processor performs sound recognition, sound location recognition, and sound level processing processes. The host processor generates a sound source and transmits the sound source to the controller. The speaker outputs the final voice which is transformed to analog signal.
