PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing anhydosugar alcohol using hexitol is provided to enhance glass transition temperature of PET, polyester, polycarbonate and to improve strength. CONSTITUTION: A method or manufacturing anhydrosugar comprises a step of dehydrating of hexitol with mixed acid of first and second acids at 105-190°C for 1-10 hours. The first acid is sulfuric acid. The second acid is p-toluene sulfonic acid, methane sulfonic acid, ethane sulfonic acid, benzene sulfonic acid, naphthalene sulfonic acid, or aluminum sulfate. The hexitol is sorbitol, mannitol, or iditol.
