PURPOSE: A shape measuring method of a curved surface with free boundary curves is provided to accurately measure the shape of curves by only measuring the inner point and boundary of the shape. CONSTITUTION: A shape measuring method of a curved surface with free boundary curves is as follows. The vertex and boundary points of a curve are inputted to measure the curve. An adjustable curve for forming the curve from the inputted point information is formed. A scan line(305) for measuring the inner and boundary points of the curve is computed. The curve is measured. The boundary points are computed using the measured curve.
