<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a driving device and move a driven body at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device is provided with: a piezoelectric element 45 that is coupled with a driven body 16 (11) and deformed when a driving voltage is applied; a pair of magnets 43, 44 attached to both ends of the piezoelectric element in the direction of the movement of the driven body with the same poles in contact with each other; and an electromagnet 42 that includes an exciting coil 47 and a yoke 46 that holds the exciting coil, and controls the attraction and repellence of the pair of magnets to and from the yoke. The pair of magnets are placed on the yoke, and the yoke is provided with a pair of poles 48a and 49a whose polarities are changed according to the direction of the energization of the exciting coil. The direction of the energization of the exciting coil is continuously changed, and the polarities of the pair of pole portions are inverted so that they are different from each other. When the exciting coil is energized in one direction, a driving voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, when the exciting coil is energized in the other direction, the application of the driving voltage to the piezoelectric element is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
