908,550. Surgical tension apparatus. MOLL, K., KOZMA, A., and GONCZY, J. March 17, 1961, No. 9786/61. Class 81 (2). Apparatus for applying tension to a patient while immersed in a medicinal bath comprises a frame for supporting the patient by the neck or shoulders and a belt which is pulled downwards by wires connected over pulleys to an external, adjustable weight system. The patient is supported on a frame 3 and tension is applied through a cable 5 by a waist band 8. The desired tension is derived from suspended weights 12 hanging from pulleys which may be selectively Keyed to a winding spindle. A handle 14, working through a friction controlled ratchet, is employed to take up initial slack in the wire 5.
|
