The present invention relates to the use of FSH and/or a biologically-active analogue thereof in the production of a medicament for the treatment of infertility in women. The medicament is for administration at an initial dose in the range of from 400 to 600 IU on every third day of the first 6 days of the stimulation phase. In one embodiment, the medicament is for administration of a dose in the range of from 100 to 350 IU and the second dose is administered for three to six days after the initial dose in the stimulation phase, where the second dose is between 50 to 300 IU. Preferably, the second dose is administered four days after the initial dose.
