PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Astilbe chinensis var. davidii extract for improving anti-wrinkling is provided to promote skin cell proliferation and to ensure antioxidation. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for improving anti-wrinkling contains 0.0001-10 weight% of Astilbe chinensis var. davidii extract as an active ingredient, prepared by supercritical fluid extraction. The supercritical fluid extraction is performed together with at 35-100°C and at the pressure of 100-500 using ethanol, methanol, water, ethyl acetate, hexane, or diethyl ether. The composition is manufactured in the form of a solution, suspension, paste, gel, cream, lotion, powder, soap, surfactant-containing cleansing, oil, powder foundation, or spray.
