METHOD OF DISCRIMINATING TARGET IN SYNTHETIC APERTURE RADAR IMAGE AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method of discriminating a target in a synthetic aperture radar image and an apparatus thereof are provided to obtain high discrimination performance by using various characteristic vectors. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic aperture radar image for a monitoring region is obtained(S410). A pixel having a pixel value larger than a reference value is detected from the synthetic aperture radar image(S420). An interest region is generated by grouping the detected pixels(S430). At least one characteristic vector is extracted from the interest region(S440). A target and a clutter are discriminated from the interest region(S450).
