A method and associated apparatus for color space conversion of images to a display color gamut space. A colour conversion matrix (CCM) is determined based on a sRGB gamut colour space table and chromaticity values of RGBW primary colours and gamma values associated with the display. Colour space conversion 308 is applied to pixels in a content colour space based on the CCM. The pixels are then linearly corrected 310 possibly by applying a normalization factor to the CCM and then provided for display. A normalisation value equal to the largest coefficient in the CCM may be determined and all the coefficients in the CCM by the inverse of the normalisation value. In addition, some techniques provide analysis of the content gamut with respect to the display gamut in HSV space 401, adjustment in HSV space 403 , and conversion back to RGB space 405 before applying color space conversion.
