PURPOSE: A heat pump type hot water generator is provided to operate smoothly by controlling the quantity of a refrigerant transferred for heat exchanging with the outside air. CONSTITUTION: A heat pump type hot water generator comprises a compressor(10) compressing a refrigerant to make into the high temperature and high pressure gaseous state, a first heat exchanger(20) transferring heat between a refrigerant and water to produce hot water, an expansion valve(30) expanding the refrigerant heat-exchanged in the first heat exchanger to make into the relatively low temperature and low pressure state, a second heat exchanger(40) transferring heat between the refrigerant passed through the expansion valve and the outside air to evaporate the refrigerant, and a compensatory heat exchanger(36) receiving the refrigerant passed through the second heat exchanger selectively according to the action of a control valve(41) opened and closed according to the temperature of the outside air and supplying the heat of hot water produced by the first heat exchanger with a refrigerant. |
