PURPOSE: An ash grinding device and an ash grinding method thereof are provided to reduce the ash grinding time, to make the particle of the ashes even, and to put the ashes in the ash urn simply. CONSTITUTION: The ash grinding device includes: an elevating unit; a first ash housing; a second ash housing; a rotary unit; and a grinding unit. The elevating unit is installed at the lower part of the receiving part(11) of the ash cabinet. The first ash housing(120) is ascended and descended by being loaded in the elevating unit(110), and the opening is formed so that ashes can be accepted. The second ash housing(130) is combined with the opening of the first ash housing when the first ash housing is ascended by the elevating unit. The rotary unit(140) is install to rotate the second ash housing and mixes the ashes inside the first and second ash housings. The grinding unit(150) grinds the ashes when the rotary unit rotates the second ash housing.
