PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for interpolating a color are provided to increase the efficiency of calculation and to obtain an image of high resolution. CONSTITUTION: An initial pixel value and initial pixel difference are set up(S310). A current pixel area is divided into a homogeneous region, an edge region, and a pattern edge region(S320). A mask corresponding to the divided domain is set up(S330). A weighted value corresponding to a mask is calculated. The current pixel region is interpolated(S340).
