ANTIPERSPIRANT OR DEODORANT COMPOSITIONS

It is desirable for antiperspirant or deodorant roll-on compositions to be able to deliver fragrance over an extended period of time after application, but previously contemplated encapsulates were based on starch or similar water-soluble or dispersible shell materials, rendering them ineffective in aqueous emulsions. Capsules of fragrances in cross-linked coacervated gelatin shells satisfying defined particle size, shell thickness and hardness criteria enable roll-on compositions to be incorporated into aqueous antiperspirant or deodorant compositions encapsulated fragrance that can be released after the composition has been topically applied to skin.
