PURPOSE: An idle mode transition control method in a wideband wireless communication system is provided to control the idle mode transition using an MCEH which set a poll bit. CONSTITUTION: An action code and an unsolicited de-registration response message are received from a base station in order to transmit the de-registration request message(S51). Control information in which a poll bit is set is extracted. Response information and de-registration request message about the extracted control information are transmitted to the base station(S53).
