PURPOSE: A side mirror control device and method for a vehicle are provided to automatically fold a side mirror after a set time and unfold the side mirror when a door is unlocked or an engine starts. CONSTITUTION: A drive motor(50) folds and unfolds a side mirror. A start sensing part(10) senses on/off of an engine. A door sensing part(20) senses the locking state of a door. A control part(40) is inputted with the sensing conditions of the door sensing part and the start sensing part and actuates the drive motor.
