PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the aperture of a furnace is provided to easily figure out the position of apertures occurred in the bottom of a furnace due to thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the aperture of a furnace comprises a camera(9), a storage unit, a display unit, and a control unit. The camera is separated from a furnace(1) and photographs the temperature distribution of the external surface of the furnace. The storage unit stores data photographed from camera. The display unit displays the stored data. The control unit confirms the position of apertures by mapping the photographed data and furnace position data.
