PURPOSE: A motor driven power steering system is provided to reduce the number of components and the entire size, and to cut down the cost by reducing the manufacturing and assembling processes. CONSTITUTION: A motor driven power steering system contains: a single shaft(2) having one side rotated by a rotor of a motor(1) and the opposite side forming a worm gear engaged with a worm wheel(7); and a motor housing(10) including a motor space(11) housing a motor and installing a bearing(5) supporting a motor rod(3), a worm wheel space(16) housing the worm wheel at the side of the motor space, a worm shaft space(12) installing a bearing(6) supporting a worm rod(4), and a cutoff space(13) projected toward the motor space from the worm shaft space to cut off the inflow of impurities to the worm shaft space.
