PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing a whitening composite is provided to suppress alpha-MSH/SCF activation and to tyrosinase. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains a whitening composite as an active ingredient, containing 0.001-5.0 weight% of Cnidium officinale extract, 0.001-5.0 weight% of Rumex crispus extract, 0.001-10.0 weight% of Polygonum multiflorum extract, 0.001-10.0 weight% of niacinamide, 0.01-1.0 weight% of papain, and 0.001-5.0 weight% of Opuntia ficus-indica L. var. saboten Makino extract. The composition is used in the form of a skin softener, nutrition cream, massage cream, essence, eye cream, cleansing cream, cleansing foam, cleansing water, pack, or spray.
