WIRE ROPE DEFORMATION MEASURING JIG AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A jig for measuring the deformation of a wire rope and a measuring method thereof are provided to distinguishably measure the length deformation of a wire rope using the weight of a balance weight and the rotation and the wire rope. CONSTITUTION: A jig for measuring the deformation of a wire rope comprises a vertical support bar(40), an upper block(10), a first bearing, a middle block, first and second locking units, and a measuring unit. The upper block is coupled to the top of the vertical support bar and has a first bearing hole. The first bearing is rotatably installed in the first bearing hole and has a first through hole in which a wire rope passes through. The middle block is separated from the bottom of the upper block and has a second through hole. The first and second locking units selectively lock or unlock the wire rope. The measuring unit measures the deformation of the wire rope depending on the weight of a balance weight hung on the wire rope passing through the first and second through holes.
