PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a control content without reduction of player's interest in a game machine such as a Pachinko machine having a variable display device capable of variably displaying a plurality of pieces of identification information. SOLUTION: This Pachinko machine 1, on its game board 2, is provided with an operation hole 3 and a large winning hole 4 and the central part of the game board 2 is incorporated with a variable display device 13 with a display part 13a. The display part 13a displays a plurality of symbol rows and the symbol rows consist of a plurality of types of symbols. A main board 24 starts the variable display of the symbols based on the generation of a predetermined trigger, after a predetermined time lapse, stops the variable display of the symbols and outputs time information on the variable display device 13 to settlingly display predetermined symbols. At a previous step of the settlement display after starting the variable display, the variable display device 13 stationarily displays a pseudo symbols and executes a predetermined performance display from when the pseudo symbols are stationarily display till being settledly displayed.
