PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and FPGA initialization method thereof are provided to stabilize the initialization of FPGA applied to the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel crosses a plurality of data lines(21) with a plurality of gate lines. A backlight unit examines the light in the LCD panel. A backlight driving circuit turns off the light sources of the backlight unit according to back light dimming data. A data driving circuit converts digital video data into data voltage. A gate driving circuit supplies gate pulse to the gate lines. A timing controller controls operation timing of the gate driving circuit.
