COATED ROLL HAVING EXCELLENT ANTI-DROSS PROPERTY AND ANTI-PEELING PROPERTY AND COATING METHOD

PURPOSE: A roll with a coated layer having excellent dross resistance and peeling resistance and a coating method are provided to prevent a cobalt series of a coated layer from becoming peeled from a base if the coated layer is formed on the base in a thermal-spray coating technique. CONSTITUTION: A roller member comprises a stellite 6 coated-layer(8), which is formed between the base of a roll and a tungsten carbide coated-layer. The stellite 6 coated-layer has a thickness of 250-350 micrometer. The tungsten carbide coated-layer has a thickness of 100-300 micrometer. The tungsten carbide coated-layer further comprises tungsten boride. The base is a stainless steel series of 316L.
