<p>A toilet arrangement comprises a toilet bowl and seat, adapted to be user friendly to individuals with special needs and especially to wheelchair users. The toilet seat and bowl shape demonstrates a narrowing taper towards the rear of the toilet in use, i.e. towards a cistern. In use, the user straddles the toilet seat facing the cistern. This arrangement improves the user's ability to slide onto the toilet from a wheelchair and to easily slide backwards onto the same after use. A handle is also provided at the cistern or towards the rear of the toilet seat in use, to provide user support while standing up or sitting down during or after use, and which is removable or fixed. The arrangement negates the need for a user to turn around 180 degrees after leaving their wheelchair before being seated upon a conventional toilet.</p> |
