Optical disk and optical recording/reproducing device

A small-sized, large-capacity optical disk is provided which is superior in portability. The optical disk has a diameter less than 64 mm and a thickness less than 0.8 mm. Tracks are formed with a pitch less than 0.6μm, and the record area is divided into a plurality of zones alone the radium. The optical disk can store more than 650 MB of compressed data.
