The method involves crushing a round part located between ends of a round tube to obtain a flat area in the part. The tube is separated into two parts by cutting the area to obtain two round tubes, where each tube comprises a flat end. The crushing and separation operations are performed in a single cycle by using a press (20). The area is stamped after crushing operation. The crushing, separation and stamping operations are repeated on the round part of the tube whose one end is flattened and is stamped based on need, to obtain a rod whose two ends are flattened and are stamped based on need. An independent claim is also included for a press comprising a movable plate and a press table.
