PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet image forming apparatus capable of forming images that can improve flexibility in layout design and flexibility in design of other equipment at side face parts at both ends in the moving direction of a recording head. SOLUTION: The ink-jet image forming apparatus 100 includes: a grid roll 102 conveying a recording medium WK on a platen 101; a recording head group 122 ejecting and sticking ink onto the surface of the recording medium WK while moving in a direction orthogonal to the conveyed direction of the recording medium WK; side UV light sources 122a, 123b arranged adjoining the recording head group 122 to accelerate curing of ink sticking to the surface of the recording medium WK while moving with the recording head group 122; and a front UV light source 124 arranged oppositely downstream in the conveyed direction of the recording medium WK to the recording head group 122 to accelerate curing of ink sticking onto the recording medium WK while moving with the recording head group 122.
