PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map information display device capable of accumulating visiting information related to visiting. SOLUTION: The map information display device includes a map information storage section 11 for storing map information; a present position acquisition section 12 for acquiring the present position; a display section 21 for reading out and displaying the map information from the map information storage section 11, according to the present position obtained by the present position acquisition section 12; a determination section 13 for determining whether there has been any stay at a certain place; a visiting information storage section 19 for storing the visiting information containing visiting place information according to position information indicating a position of the visiting place; and a visiting information generation section 18 generating the visiting information containing the visiting place information, according to the position information indicating the present position at that time, and accumulating in the visiting information storage section 19 when the determination section 13 determines that there has been some stay in the certain place, wherein the display section 21 reads out and displays even the visiting information stored in the visiting information storage section 19.
