PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating apparatus, along with an electric apparatus, capable of preventing the deterioration of efficiency of ion generation, even in the environment having much dust. SOLUTION: Discharge electrodes 3a-3d each have a needle-like tip and generate ions at the tip thereof. A cleaning slider 9 is movably configured between a contact state in contact with the discharge electrodes 3a-3d and a non-contact state not in contact with discharge electrodes 3a-3d in order that cleaning parts 9a-9d clean the discharge electrodes 3a-3d.
