PLATED STEEL SHEET AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Si and Mn-containing hot-dip galvanized steel sheet and a galvannealed steel sheet both having excellent plating adhesiveness. SOLUTION: The plated steel sheet having an alloyed or non-alloyed hot-dip galvanizing layer formed on a base steel sheet has an oxide-containing layer containing Si-Mn-O and iron-zinc alloy on the interface between the base steel sheet and the hot-dip galvanized layer. The surface of the oxide-containing layer in the base steel sheet side has mesh like projecting parts and a plurality of recessed parts divided by the projecting parts, wherein the average diameter of the recessed parts calculated by an intercept method is 3.0-10.0μm and the average width of the projecting parts is 0.2-3.0μm.
