The container (100) has an electrode (110) providing electrical voltage. A photovoltaic cell receiving region (104) receives multiple photovoltaic cells (106), which are electrically coupled with each other. The receiving region is arranged relative to the electrode so that the received cells are electrically coupled with the electrode. An electrically conductive spacer is provided between two of the cells. An auxiliary electrode is arranged such that current flows from the electrode to the auxiliary electrode by the cells. An independent claim is also included for a method for regeneration of photovoltaic cells using a photovoltaic cell-transport and regeneration container.
