The invention relates to a composite material with antimicrobial activity and to a process for obtaining the same. According to the invention, the material consists of silver nanoparticles deposited onto an oxidic substrate and dispersed as aqueous colloidal suspensions with a MeO gravimetric content of 2...10% and a Ag gravimetric content of 0.1% as compared with the mass of the suspension and of 5% at the most, as compared with the MeO, containing substances with antimicrobial properties as dispersion and stabilization agents. The process claimed by the invention consists in dispersing TiOor ZnO nanopowders, for 3...10 min, by ultrasonic treatment in a 0.75...1.5% aqueous solution of sodium polyacrylate or sodium dodecyl sulphate, whereto a protective agent is admixed up to a concentration of 5...10 g/l, while stirring at 1200...1500 rpm and heating to a temperature of 70...80°C and an aqueous solution of AgNO2...40 mM, while stirring and heating for 1...2 h, the suspension being then blast-cooled down to 4°C, maintained for 12...15 h in a dark place, after which a 0.05...0.5% solution of NaHBis added in a AgNO: NaBHmolar ratio of 1:1...1:2, and the product is decanted, centrifuged, washed and dried.
|
