摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable verification of the precision of a projection-and-depression fitting structure after reconstruction easily and accurately, in a wheel bearing device which has a hub ring and an outer joint member coupled through the projection-and-depression fitting structure. <P>SOLUTION: The hub ring 21 and the outer joint member 3 are coupled through a projection-and-depression fitting structure M which is formed by press-fitting a shaft 5 provided with projections 41 into a hole part 24 provided in the hub ring 21 so as to form depressions 42 with the projections 41 and in which a fitting region 43 where each projection 41 fits within the mating depression 42 is in tight fit. The projection-and-depression fitting structure M can be separated by applying a pulling force in the axial direction with a bolt member 30 removed, and can be reconstructed by re-screwing the bolt member 30 into a bolt hole 5d. The hub ring 21 has a receiving section 23a in which the bolt member 30 is received. The shaft 5 has a small-diameter section 5a serving as an insertion section which is inserted within the inner periphery of the receiving section 23a with the projection-and-depression fitting structure M in the constructed state.
