<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which shows excellent color development properties of dye and pigment ink, and excellent fretting resistance (dust fall-off proofness), while retaining ink absorption. <P>SOLUTION: This recording medium includes a support and an ink receptive layer containing an inorganic microparticle, a cationic dispersion particle and a water-soluble resin formed on at least one surface of the support. The Young's modulus of the cationic dispersion particle is not less than 2.0 Pa but not more than 12 Pa, and the content of the cationic dispersion particle of the ink receptive layer is not less than 20 pts.mass but not more than 120 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the inorganic microparticle. Besides, the average particle diameter R of the inorganic microparticle is not less than 0.5 μm but not more than 7.0 μm, and the average particle diameter R of the inorganic microparticle and the average particle diameter r of the cationic dispersion particle satisfy the relation: 0.225R×0.5≤r≤0.225R×1.2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
