<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether the printing surface direction of a printer 2 matches the recording surface direction of a printing medium or not, without test printing on the printing medium. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming system directs the printer 2 to carry the recording medium to a delivery port 55 and displays description of the printing surface to the printing medium at the delivery port 55. When detecting a first input operation corresponding to the description at the time of the printing surface's matching the recording surface of the printing medium, the system directs the printer to print to the printing medium and deliver to the delivery port 55 of the printer 2. When detecting a second input operation corresponding to the description at the time of the printing surface's mismatching the recording surface, the system displays the description of a method of changing the paper feeding state of the printing medium at the printer 2, and after that, when detecting a third input operation, the system directs the printer 2 to print to the printing medium and deliver to the delivery port 55 of the printer 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
