<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system providing a function which supports Japanese single character input, and to provide a computer-readable recording medium recording a program to execute the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method providing a function which supports Japanese single character input to a terminal equipment using Japanese dictionary service includes (a) a step which makes a terminal equipment display a Japanese character table including at least one of Hiraganas and Katakanas and a single character retrieval window at the surrounding of the Japanese character table, and (b) a step in which, when phonetic symbol corresponding to specific Japanese single character whose retrieval is desired is inputted into the single character retrieval window by the language other than Japanese, the terminal equipment makes activated display of a position of specific Japanese single character corresponding to an inputted phonetic symbol on the Japanese character table by retrieving specific Japanese single character corresponding to inputted phonetic symbol with reference to language database which memorizes Japanese single characters and phonetic symbols in association with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
