PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform user friendly display by devising change of drawing contents, before and after starting control of turning on only a part of backlight, in technology in which only a part of the backlight of a liquid crystal display is turned on, in order to reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: The backlight includes a left LED (Light Emitting Diode) group for emitting light for transmitting a left part side liquid crystal display panel in a liquid crystal display panel 141, and a right LED group for emitting light for transmitting a right part side liquid crystal display panel in the liquid crystal display panel 141. A control section, when power saving mode transition condition is satisfied, changes a drawing content of the right part side liquid crystal display panel, from a state in which one map image is drawn over the right part side liquid crystal display panel and the left part side liquid crystal display panel, to a state of drawing for providing simple information other than map image, while turning off the left LED group, and turning on the right LED group.
