PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat cover for an automobile which improves mounting property and which is reliably held on a seat. SOLUTION: In the seat cover 1 for the automobile including a cover body 2 covering a seat 101 of the automobile and a hem part 3 extending downward from the cover body 2, both ends 11U, 11S of an expansible/contractable band 11 that expands and contracts are connected to an upper portion and a lower portion of the hem part 3, and a locking member 13 locked to the seat 101 is provided to the expansible/contractable band 11. By locking the locking member 13 to the seat 101, the seat cover 1 is fixed to the seat 101 and the hem part 3 of the seat cover 1 is tightly attached to the side of the seat 101. Also, since the locking member 13 is movable to the expansible/contractable band 11, the hem part 3 of the seat cover 1 can be tightly attached to the side of a seat portion 102 and the mounting property of the seat cover 1 relative to the seat 101 can be improved.
