Provided is a session management system which makes it possible for the same client environment to be effectively used by a plurality of users. A session management system (100) includes: a client-environment provision server (40) including at least one client environment; a plurality of terminals (10); and a session management server (20) for managing client environment and terminal sessions. The session management server (20) is provided with: a session monitoring means (211) for monitoring a client-environment usage end time; a client-environment management means (220) for issuing a log-out request for the log-out processing for a predetermined client environment, to the client-environment provision server; and a usage state confirmation means (221) for confirming the usage state of each client environment. The session monitoring means (211) notifies a client-environment usage stop request to the usage state confirmation means (221) if the client-environment usage end time coincides with the current time. The client-environment management means (220) transmits to the client-environment provision server (40) the log-out request for the log-out processing for the client environment if the client environment is in use.
