<p>Provided is a pneumatic tire tread wherein tread pattern noise is reduced while air column sound generated by circumferential grooves is effectively suppressed. The aforementioned pneumatic tire tread is such that the tread surface is equipped with circumferential grooves (2), intermediate ribs (3), shoulder ribs (4), and a plurality of resonators (5) which each have a ramiform groove shape such that one end opens into a circumferential groove and the other end terminates inside an intermediate rib and which reduce air column sound generated by the circumferential grooves. In a state where a tire is installed on an applicable rim, where air is filled to the rated internal pressure, and where the rated load is applied, the ramiform grooves (5) are each such that the length is 40% or more of the tread surface length, that the groove width is 10% - 25% of a circumferential groove, and that the lateral projected length of the ramiform groove is at least 95% or more of the pitch length. The difference between the porosity in the minimum cross section of each intermediate rib, which is provided with ramiform grooves, and the porosity in the maximum cross section of the aforementioned intermediate rib is 10% or less.</p> |
